  I've been to several different zoos as an adult including Cincinnati and San Diego. I really enjoy the Baltimore Zoo because of it's size and ability to enjoy it in one day. It's nice to feel like your walking through a nice park with the trees and amimals. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and helpful in learning about the animals. My daughter loves the kids area as well as seeing the African animal exhibits. One more plus, the parking is free.

  Much different from when I was a child. So much of the old zoo is abandoned. Kinda eerie. The new zoo is consolidated but the stars are there: the cave, turtle shells, petting zoo, prairie dogs, lion statues, giant slides. Kinda inconvenient to have to take the shuttle but the ride is pleasant and there's never an extreme wait for the next shuttle. My daughter loves the open cart ride. The penguin exhibit is amazing. So happy the giraffes are out of the old smelly giraffe house. The polar bear exhibit is really small. I feel bad for the guy. All in all we're members and live really close so the zoo is a mainstay of summer.
